Reposting all MANDATORY v5.0 Update info

  • Just wanted to repost some of the IMPORTANT info that was inside all update boxes, and on the wiki, regarding the 5.0 mandatory update.

ALL NEW AMARETTO FOOD AND CONSUMABLES INFORMATION

With v5.0, Amaretto has implemented all new food and consumables that have safety protocols. This was done to protect Amaretto as well as the community. Below are some F.A.Q. regarding the new food and consumables.

Q: Will older version horses use the new food and consumables?

A: No. The new food and consumables will only work with v5.0 and higher. Older version horses MUST be updated to use the new food and consumables.

Q: Will v5.0 horses use the old food and consumables?

A: No. Only older version horses will use the old food and consumables.

Q: I just purchased the old food/consumables, can I exchange it for new food/consumables?

A: Yes. We will be exchanging old food/consumables for new food/consumables purchased one month before the update. So if you purchased old food/consumables from August 3, 2014 until September 3, 2014, you can file a support ticket with transaction history and we will send new food/consumables to you in world.

Q: What safety protocols were added to the new food/consumables?

A: Although I can not go into great detail, I can tell you that the new food/consumables are recorded on our servers when purchased and now have a UUID just as the horses/bundles do. When a breeder purchases food/consumables a "count" is added which only allows the breeder to rez that specific amount. Because of this, they can no longer be copied due to roll backs and will break if this is attempted.

Q: Have the permissions on the food/consumables changed?

A: No. The new food and consumables are still no copy/no mod/no trans.

Q: Can I purchase the new food/consumables on Second Life's Marketplace?

A: No. Due to the new safety protocols, our products will no longer be for sale on Second Life's Marketplace.

    AMARETTO MANDATORY UPDATE INFORMATION

With v5.0, Amaretto has implemented all new food and consumables that have safety protocols. This was done to protect Amaretto as well as the community. Because of these new safety protocols, update v5.0 is MANDATORY. Horses will no longer function properly if they are not updated to v5.0 by September 19, 2014. Below are some F.A.Q. regarding this MANDATORY update.

Q: What do you mean by "not function properly"?

A: ALL versions that are not v5.0 will no longer produce viable offspring. Meaning any bundle produced by all versions that are not v5.0 will have the text BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS and will not birth.

Q: If I do not update my horses before the deadline and I get a bundle that says BAD_DATA_NO_PARENTS can I get that bundle fixed?

A: No. That bundle can not be fixed, that is why you must update your horses before the deadline of September 19, 2014.

Q: If I do not want to update my horses/bundles and I have to file a support ticket due to duplicate, lost or broken horse/bundles, will they come back to me at their original version?

A: No. All horses/bundles that go through our support system will return to you at the most current version and will not breed with older versions.

Q: I want to Forever Foal my older version horses, will they return to me at the old version?

A: No. All horses that are made into a pet will return to you at the most current version.

Q: I do not care if my older version horses do not breed, but will I still be able to buy the old food to feed them?

A: No. Only the new food/consumables will be sold after September 3, 2014, that is why you must update your horses (See notecard ***ALL NEW AMARETTO FOOD AND CONSUMABLES INFORMATION*** included in updater box for more information)
